What is collected
The inquiry form collects your name, email and message. You may also provide your organization, sector, selected service and project stage. The page language and opened sector and service are also included.
Why it is collected
General Value uses these details to respond to your inquiry and take steps you request before a possible contract. For other questions, General Value relies on its legitimate interest in responding to correspondence. You can object to that use.
Where it goes
Netlify, the hosting provider, processes form submissions, makes them available in the General Value dashboard and forwards each one by email to geral@general-value.pt. Analytics is optional and is explained below. A film you choose to play on the Media page uses a separate service: it plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com), under Google's privacy policy. Netlify may process submission data outside the European Economic Area under its data processing terms.
How long it is kept
An inquiry that does not lead to work is deleted within 24 months of the last contact. If work follows, the information is kept for the length of the engagement and then for as long as Portuguese accounting and tax law requires.
The newsletter
If you subscribe, General Value keeps your email address and, if you give it, your name, to send the monthly newsletter. The basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying to any newsletter or writing to geral@general-value.pt. Your address is then deleted within 30 days. Netlify, the hosting provider, processes the sign-up form. The list is not shared or sold. On your first visit the site invites you once to subscribe. So that it does not ask again, it keeps one note, "gv-newsletter-invited", in your browser's storage. The note holds nothing about you, is never sent to General Value or anyone else, and goes when you clear your browser data.
Your rights under the GDPR
You can request access, correction or deletion of your personal information. Where the GDPR provides, you can restrict or object to its use and request a portable copy. You may complain to Portugal’s data protection authority, the CNPD. To make a privacy request, write to geral@general-value.pt or use the contact form.

Optional website analytics
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics measures page visits, traffic sources, services explored, downloads, reading depth, contact clicks and accepted enquiry and newsletter forms. We do not send names, email addresses, messages or text entered into the site assistant to analytics. Advertising features remain disabled. Analytics cookies last up to six months. Your choice is kept in this browser for six months under gv-analytics-consent-v1. You can change or withdraw permission through Analytics preferences in the footer. Refusing analytics does not affect the forms or other site functions. Google processes analytics data under its privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Individual user and event data is retained for up to 14 months; aggregated reports may remain available for longer.
